It is a gift to be able to connect with others through words and creativity and what a delight it was to spend some time with Still Waters participants! From the space in which they do their writing (which I visited virtually), to the work they do, to all the thoughtful humans involved, this is a much needed and magical place.
I especially appreciated the kind words and encouragement the intergenerational participants offered one another as well as the enthusiasm they shared for each other’s writings.
Programs like Still Waters are critical and go way beyond the surface level of language learning to build confidence, create community, and offer safe space.
